Returns Policy

We hope that you are satisfied with your purchase at DirtCheapSoftware.com, Inc. If you need to return an item for exchange or a refund please follow the instructions below for a prompt response. All returns will be handled promptly and courteously. We are consumers just like you and we will treat you exactly how we would like to be treated. Please keep in mind that we do have policies to adhere to just like any other business. If you have any questions about any of these policies, please email us or give us a call.


Unopened Merchandise

We will accept your return of unopened merchandise for credit to your credit card within 30 days of the original purchase date. These items must be returned new, sealed and in resalable condition. We reserve the right to reject any returns on items at our discretion. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by completing our on line RMA Form. Please click here for our on line RMA Form. Be sure to include your original order number, the title of the product you wish to return and the reason for the return. We will contact you with return shipping instructions usually within 2 to 4 business days of your request. Once you receive an RMA number, package all items securely and write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box to help expedite the returns process. We recommend insured return shipping via the carrier of your choice. We process all returns within 3 business days. Please allow 4-6 weeks for credit to appear on your credit card billing statement. If you use online statements, allow 7 to 10 business days for credits to appear. All unopened software returns will be credited back the original purchase price minus any restocking fees. Shipping charges are nonrefundable unless DirtCheapSoftware.com is at fault. All returns are subject to a 10% restock fee.

Defective Merchandise

In most cases, defective items will be handled directly by the appropriate manufacturer. There will, however, be cases where this is not applicable and we will be happy to exchange any defective product for the same title within 30 days of purchase. Please contact the manufacturer of the product before contacting DirtCheapSoftware.com. If you do need to return something to DirtCheapSoftware.com, please use our on line Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form to obtain a (RMA) number. Please click here for our on line RMA Form. Be sure to include your original order number, the title of the product you wish to return and the reason for the return. We will contact you with return shipping instructions usually within 2 to 4 business days of your request. Please package all items securely and write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box to expedite the return process. We will email or send you an electronic return label. For your convenience we also offer a cross-ship service for defective or miss-shipped items. If we do not receive the return package within 7 business days or cannot reasonably track the return, we reserve the right to charge you for the replacement. We will contact you before to doing so. All claims for defective items need to be received within 30 days of the original invoice date.


Opened Non-Defective Merchandise

Unfortunately, we cannot accept opened, non-defective merchandise for credit or exchange. This policy is industry standard and we cannot vary from it in anyway.

Pricing

Due to the nature of our business, we cannot refund any difference in prices if a lower price appears on our site after you have made your purchase and/or received it. We base our prices on the current wholesale cost of a product. Due to market fluctuations, our costs may change significantly.

Rain checks

Under no circumstance does DirtCheapSoftware.com, Inc. or its affiliates offer rain checks.

Restock Fees

A 10% restocking fee will be applied to all returns for refund. Shipping charges are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued after 30 days. Restock fees cover the expense of processing returns including credit card surcharges we incur from our Merchant Bank.

Compatibility

It is ultimately the customer's responsibility to know whether or not software is compatible with their system. We do out best to keep system requirements on every page. If they are missing, you can email us or check the Windows Compatibility pages at Microsoft. We sell a lot of older titles as well as most of the latest and greatest. Some of the older titles cannot be run under the latest operating systems. Please make sure that your system meets the requirements before you open any software. If you have received your package, most system requirements are published on the outside of the packaging. Shipping charges are non-refundable in cases of buyers remorse or if you order something and need to return it because of system incompatibility. Please be careful when ordering. Fraud

We take fraud very seriously at DirtCheapSoftware.com. If you are looking to commit fraud you have come to the wrong place. We have a zero tolerance policy for it here. If you are having an item shipped to a different address or state other than your billing address then we are going to double check and even triple check the order. This measure is in place to protect not only us, but you as the consumer. Credit Card fraud is at an all time high with this convenient way of doing business. Every single order that is processed is checked by several people for fraudulent activity, as well as put through several databases. Our state of the art AVS System flags orders that are placed outside of the United States automatically. Any order that is suspect, the system records the IP address, or flags orders that have masked or blocked IP address information. All of this information is stored securely and is only used by law enforcement in the case of fraud. In other words it is not used, unless deemed absolutely necessary. See our Privacy Policy for more information on how your information is used on this site. All fraudulent orders are turned over to the proper authorities for investigation and prosecution.

There are no service guarantees on our flat rate shipping. Transit times for standard shipping are typical, but not guaranteed. Any claims for non-receipt must be made within 30 Days of not receiving merchandise.
